I was always told to respect my elders, but as time passes, sadly my relatives are dropping like flies. They will forever be loved and remembered.

We must respect all elders. Their experience is priceless. So many find themselves alone and empoverished. Also, when a couple loses a spouse, the survivor will be long overwhelmed with grief. These valuable individuals are strong members of society, positively contributing in our community. They should be respected and cherished for their benevolence. Let’s not leave them in solitude, parked like unwanted furniture somewhere in a retirement home.

Next time you see an elderly fellow alone on a park bench, smile and say hello.
