This cartoon is all to true for single mothers returning home with a newborn. They end up working harder between diaper changes and juggling pot and pans then labouring at birth. Are social resources in place everywhere to support such valuable members of society left alone? For the sake of the children at least, the patience, the cost, the pain and the worry must be shared.
